Jackie Lutz – 5th
Grade Teacher
Hello, I am Jackie Lutz and I am the 5th
Grade Teacher. I have 14 years teaching experience in Catholic
schools. I started my teaching career in Plum City. I taught
grades 5th & 6th combined at St. John’s
Catholic School for a couple of years and then I decided to stay at
home to raise my children. After my boys were in school, I went
back teaching in River Falls. I worked at St. Bridget’s School
teaching 6th – 8th grades Math and Religion. My
teaching experience in Catholic schools has been very rewarding. I
love sharing my faith with my students and watching them grow into
responsible and respectful young people.
I grew up in Eau Claire and have 2 brothers and 1
sister. Ever since I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. I
graduated from UW-Eau Claire majoring in Elementary Education with a minor
in Language Arts. I am certified to teach grades one through eight.
My family lives in Ellsworth. We have enjoyed living
in this small rural community for 20 years. Our family belongs to St.
Francis Parish and we have a Father Tom too! My husband is Fred and we
have two sons. Willie is a freshman at UW-Eau Claire majoring in
Accounting. Andy is a junior at Ellsworth High School. As a family, we
enjoy the outdoors – camping, fishing, gardening and bike riding.
Teaching is a very rewarding job! It is the kind of
work that makes a difference in the life of a child. My goal is to create a
loving and learning environment that encourages children to do their own
personal best. I feel very blessed to be working at St. Joseph’s. The
staff and students make this school a wonderful place to work!
